About

About Ostrid Design.

Draw in 2D. Explore in 3D. Understand space before it is built.

What is Ostrid?

Ostrid, also known as Ostrid Design, is a web-based spatial design tool. It connects a 2D floor plan editor with a live 3D preview and walkthrough, so you can sketch a layout and immediately experience its scale, routes, rooms, and light.

Ostrid is built for spatial design students, level designers, interior layout explorers, architects, concept designers, and hobby builders. It sits between traditional CAD software and game engines, focusing on fast spatial thinking rather than construction documentation or finished 3D modelling.

Why Ostrid exists

Floor plans communicate dimensions, but they do not always communicate how a place feels. Ostrid makes that gap smaller: draw walls and openings from above, see the structure update in 3D, then walk through it in the browser before committing to a finished model.

Current status

Ostrid is in public alpha and is free to test. The editor works today, but features, file compatibility, and workflows can still change or break as the product develops. The public roadmap, product updates, and documentation show what is available and what is being explored next.
